HAPPIER AT HOME
As Australia ages there is more need for support services for seniors. In general this is good news – we are living longer and are mostly healthier. However, as we age we often begin to lose our independence – sometimes a little but often a lot. This can cause problems for seniors themselves and for their loved ones and families.

We believe that the best place for those who are not fully independent is to stay in their own home. As it is not always practical or feasible for loved ones or family members to look after their elders, we provide a home care service that is totally focused on the dignity of the person. Whether it be ensuring that the client eats and sleeps properly, is safe in their own home, takes exercise, attends medical appointments or is simply having fun, we can help you.
If you need professional, quality Home Care support, we provide up to 24 hours per day 7 days per week assistance. Your relative may only need 2 hours per day a couple of days a week, but it is possible she or he may need a lot more than that. We work 365 days per year and fill the gaps loved ones can’t. After all you have your own responsibilities and you cannot be in two places at once.

Please call us so we can let you know how we can help, what it will cost, what government assistance is available, how we work with the family and other healthcare advisors and how we can improve the quality of life of both the care recipient and their family.

OUR FOUNDER
Our founder, Lesley Osborne, experienced first-hand what it was like to be suddenly faced with the decline and subsequent loss of both her parents.
Unfortunately, her mother had a stroke and was hospitalised where she suffered a further stroke and lost the power of speech and movement. At the same time her father’s dementia (which had gone undetected) ramped up to such as level that he could not remember that his wife of almost 50 years was in hospital. Private agency Carers were urgently sought to assist him in the home. This quickly became a 24-hour need. Two months later her mother died but her father enjoyed four years of wonderful care before his passing.

Happier at Home has been founded to offer your loved ones an opportunity to continue to live their lives as best they can in their own homes. We are sincerely committed to improving the lives of seniors and look forward to talking to you.

OUR SERVICES
24 Hour In-Home Care
Our staff are trained and experienced, but more importantly, have a genuine love and warmth for seniors and those whose independence is waning. From a 2 hour visit to ensure that all is going well in the home, to overnight, weekend or holiday assistance, our carers can give you peace of mind that your loved ones are safe when you’re not there. We provide a variety of services such as companionship, outings, transport to the shops or doctors’ appointments, personal care, housekeeping, meal preparation and fun!
Palliative, Post-Operative and Respite Care
If you need a break Happier at Home gives you peace of mind that your loved one is well cared for in your absence. Or, your parent may need some extra assistance on return from hospital. As your loved one reaches the end of their life, we can also be called upon to assist at this difficult time. Our carers can be there right until the end. Caring, patient and experienced.
High Level Care
We provide 24-hour high level home care for seniors up to Level 4. Our staff are experienced and trained to give the support needed to ensure that your loved one can stay at home. A comprehensive plan is developed together with the other healthcare professionals involved, and our carers provide the highest care possible to ensure the best quality of life is achieved.
Dementia Care
Dementia can be very difficult to deal with, both for the sufferer and his/her family. To see the person who was fully in control of their lives lose the ability to live a normal independent life because of this disease can be traumatic. Our staff are trained and experienced and, working with other healthcare advisors, can help relieve the stress and frustration of all concerned. There are many stages of dementia and it is important to have the right care plan in place to support the condition.
